Hey, I just noticed some of the crew are better at things then others, like yellow does more damage on weapons then blue, green doesn't auto-pickup when you combine something on engineering, and blue flys up the slowest on mining
yup! As of right now characters have 3 stats: speed, power, psychic. They total 9 stat points distributed among those. Most ship activities involve 2 of those stats:
- Navigation requires speed to go fast, psychic to turn - Weapons requires speed to shoot fast, power for damage - Engineering requires all 3 stats but speed is very detrimental because it makes your crane harder to control - Exploration requires all 3 stats but psychic makes mechs better at everything and in a future version will correspond to your character's HP.
So far the 4 available characters have the following stat distribution:
- Blue pilot (5 SPD, 1 PWR, 3 PSY) - Red weapons guy (4 SPD, 4 PWR, 1 PSY - Green explorer (2 SPD, 2 PWR, 5 PSY) - Yellow engineer (3 SPD, 3 PWR, 3 PSY)
This seems like it has a load of potential to be crazy or chaotic while being fun (if overwhelming), there's also plenty of QoL that could be done, though I understand if this is just some kind of experiment or smthin.

Don't have numpad, can't control red.
Can normal 456 also work?
Also mind the typo in description where is says QSD instead of ASD.

How can you mine downwards?
hold left+right
also up+left+right mines upwards
yeah that works! If I ever make this a full product it will definitely have some kind of tutorialization :p

I can't move red, no matter wha
oh yeah you might need a numpad for that. Probably future versions will have editable keyboard layouts.
