The void rolls back
"The void rolls back" is a game made in 48h for the GMTK jam 2022.
It's the end of the world again. The void has taken over everything, and is causing entropy in all 6 regions. However, you and your companions know the drill by now. Armed with powerful reality-altering dice, you set out on a journey to restore the lands, and hopefully beat the end of times again. To win, you must reach the edge of the world and defeat the horror which lurks there.
- WASD/Arrow keys: move
- Spacebar: shoot
- Tab: change bullet
- Escape: return to title screen
- F4: fullscreen (windows only)

was something supposed to happen when i killed a monster that had a question mark pointing me to it?

i escaped and it took me about 15 mins after finding the escape place to actually get to touch it due to not having the right dice shapes :/

also. minor bug: one time i went to a dif side and then i noticed that the number was not the same number as the one i had been previously on, and it was indeed a different side. i have no idea how the glitch was triggered, but it was.
This has happened to me too! Visiting a side I've already visited from another angle. At first I thought it was because of how perspective shifts, but I was unable to backtrack to where I was previously. Just the t-shaped intersection on both sides. Very strange.
Yeah the edges can be weird if you go at a right angle X)
epik gaem. currently 225 hp and 45 atk. haven't been keeping track but i THINK i've been to all 6 sides. also i'm the mage person or whatever it's called.

I really like the spatial mechanics here, getting around - and avoiding getting stuck - is a fun puzzle. I mostly avoided combat until the last part of the game, but I like the trade-offs the dice give in how you can choose to use them. spawning enemies with coloured dice seems like a good way to get more of that die type, though you better be ready for dealing with all of those enemies... also, good music and great art!
